“The Unfaithful Wife” captivated the audience of the 16th Athens Open Air Film Festival powered by DEI at LAIS

An atmospheric evening at LAIS, with Claude Chabrol’s erotic thriller "The Unfaithful Wife" returning triumphantly to the big screen in Athens.

On behalf of the 16th Athens Open Air Film Festival powered by DEI, on Monday, July 6, "The Unfaithful Wife" put on her elegant dress, slipped into high heels and made her way to a packed LAIS, the open-air cinema of the Greek Film Archive in Gazi, where Claude Chabrol’s highly influential thriller was screened for the first time in years, in a digitally restored copy.

The screening took place in collaboration with the Festival Plein Air of the French Institute of Athens. The film was introduced by Loukas Katsikas, Artistic Director of the Festival, and Aimé Besson, Audiovisual Attaché at the French Institute of Greece.

The next screening features Jean-Jacques Beineix’s legendary "Diva", yet another exquisite creation of French cinema. The film will be screened with free admission on Thursday, July 16, at a new and beautiful location in the city: Arsakeio Arcade. Come discover it and enjoy one of the most influential films of the 1980s, a film that launched an entire trend!

Thank you once again for your attendance and warm response.
