'80s Horror Marathon at Plato’s Academy Park: You had to be there!

Or rather, you were there - among the nearly 1,000 people (it was impossible to count!) who packed Plato’s Academy Park on Saturday night and stayed until the early hours for the unforgettable horror marathon organized by the 15th Athens Open Air Film Festival powered by DEI.

You watched back-to-back screenings of The Fog, A Nightmare on Elm Street, and Sleepaway Camp, lying on the grass with an ice-cold Fischer beer in hand, enjoying Elite crackers, Allatini cookies (all generously offered), and the refreshing breeze of the lush green park. And when the marathon came to an end - you were asking for more!

It was one of those screenings we’ll all remember for a long time - especially those who stayed for the final film… 😉

Next screening of the 15th Athens Open Air Film Festival:
Tonight at Kotzia Square, right in the heart of the city, with a film especially beloved by Greek audiences:
“The Hairdresser’s Husband” by Patrice Leconte.
