Veronica be-members the most popular group at her school, which consists of three girls, all called “Heather”. However, such choice not only brings her in confrontation with her old friends, but also forces her to change into a person she eventually doesn’t even like. The arrival of an unconventional young boy into her life will bring an unexpected solution to this, seemingly hopeless, situation.
After all those years, we can definitely confirm that Michael Lehmann’s directorial debut was not only courageous concerning its theme selection, but also succeeded in becoming something more than an odd black comedy which takes place in a school. Over time, the film has acquired new fans and numerous imitators, while the sharp satirical attitude, the countless lines and the remarkable scenes, have ranked it as one of the best and favorite movies of the 80’s.
