Zarafa

One of the best animation films of the year, «Zarafa» takes us all the way to Africa where a wise old man is telling the village kids the story of Maki. Maki is a little boy who escapes the clutches of slave traders and becomes best friends with Zarafa the giraffe.

Maki is a little boy who escapes the clutches of slave traders and becomes best friends with Zarafa the giraffe. But when Zarafa is captured and presented to the king of France as a gift, Maki dedicates his life to rescuing his friend and hops on a hot air balloon to Paris in order to track him down.

Filled to the brink with magical images that would capture anyone's imagination, be it children or adults, Zarafa is made of the stuff of dreams. K.Th.
