The Ladies Man
In “The Ladies Man”, Herbert depressed because his girlfriend left him for another man. Desperate for a new start, he looks for a job and actually finds one in an enormous house, which is inhabited exclusively by women. There, the hurt and timid Herbert encounters absolute bedlam, in a setting where Lewis does not miss the opportunity to showcase his immense comic timing.
After his first successful attempt in directing himself in “The Bellboy” (1960), Jerry Lewis decided to immediately repeat the venture.
