Before that happened, the gang of five (four girls and a boy) filled their closets with clothes and footwear by hip designers, strolled around town with accessories worth thousands of dollars and posted their pictures on Facebook while wearing the stolen items, without fully realizing the criminal penalties that could be brought upon them by their actions.

Through its storyline, steeped in irony, Coppola’s film closely captures the portrait of a narcissist youth, which is so pointlessly pre-occupied with its image and is so damned in its constant ego trip that you cannot help but wonder whether they deserve your sympathy or (better yet) your mercy.

All of the above is accompanied by one of the best compilation soundtracks of the year.
