I Dream of My Friends

The film “I Dream of My Friends” is the least possible tribute to the distinguished theater master, director and actor, Lefteris Voyatzis, who prematurely passed away this May, at the age of 68.

Since his strictly selective film career is almost exclusively consumed by films by his good friend Nikos Panayiotopoulos, his leading presence in the film «I Dream of My Friends» serves as an ideal occasion for an evening dedicated to a special figure of our contemporary cultural heritage.

In a filmic universe without women, we follow Kyriakos and the generation he represents, from the age of 25 until into his 50’s, in a time continuum which starts in West Germany in 1965 and concludes in Athens in 1990.
